Meet Your Fighter Command Pilot

Mark Hutchins grew up in an Air Force family. Mark's father, StanHutchins, is a decorated WWII 15th Air Force B-24 pilot, with 33 missions, including the famous oil refineries at Ploesti.  The 332nd Fighter Group (Tuskegee Airmen) occasionally flew cover for Stan's squadron, the 824th Bomb Squadron of the 484th Bomb Group, as they flew missions over Austria, Germany and Yugoslavia during which time, no bombers were lost to enemy fighters.  In the post war period, Mark and his family were stationed in San Antonio,Texas; Anchorage, Alaska; Bloomington, Indiana; Wiesbaden, Germany, and Falls Church, Virginia. Mark's mother, Mary Catherine, a life long educator in Falls Church and Fairfax, Virginia, was lost to breast cancer in 1986, in the middle of her second year of retirement.

Mark is a CFII (Certified Flight Instructor Instrument) with over 2000 hours of dual instruction given and 3200 hours total time of which 1700 hours are in the T-6/SNJ.

Mark retired from professional motor racing in 1991.  During his 20 year career he raced in such international events as the 24 Hours of LeMans, Daytona 24 Hour, Sebring 12 Hour, Nurburgring 1000 Kms. Mark has driven many types of race cars from the Porsche 935, Porsche 911 GTU, Mazda RX-7 GTU to FV and FF. During his time as a General Motors factory driver Mark had wins, lap records, and pole positions at Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Road America, Sebring, and Summit Point.

Concurrent with Mark's racing he trained hundreds of U.S. Dept. of Defense and Dept. of State personnel in counter-terrorist driving techniques.
